Best value: low rows of center 200s, sections 206–210 or 222–226

How the Barclays Center map is numbered

The quick answer: the center lower-bowl sections 7–9 and 23–25 are the best basketball seats, and the first rows of the center 200s are the best value. Everything else on the map makes sense once you know that the main lower bowl is numbered with one and two digits.

Per the arena's own Nets and concert seating maps, the building stacks three numbered rings:

  • Lower bowl, sections 1 to 31. Sections 1 and 31 meet behind one basket, and the numbers run around the court to sections 15–17 behind the other. The map skips some numbers (there is no section 2, 5, 11, 14, 18, 21, 27 or 30), so do not assume two adjacent numbers are neighbors.
  • The 100-numbered band, sections 102 to 129. A thin ring of seats directly above the lower bowl, broken up by suites and premium spaces.
  • The 200 level, sections 202 to 230. The upper bowl. On the current map there are no sections 201, 208, 216, 224 or 231, and one end of the level, above sections 1 and 31, is taken by a premium space rather than seats.

The sideline sections line up in a predictable way: 7, 8 and 9 sit below 107, 108 and 109, which sit below the 206–210 block. The opposite sideline repeats the pattern with 23–25, 123–125 and 222–226.

The lower bowl: sections 1 to 31

On the arena's Nets map, the home bench is in front of section 7 and the visitors' bench is in front of section 9, both on the same sideline. Courtside seats on that side are marked FLR7 and FLR9, with VIP rows behind them labeled VIP7 and VIP8. The opposite sideline mirrors the setup with FLR23 to FLR25 and VIP23 to VIP25.

Two seating guides agree that the lower-bowl sections run to about row 19 or 20, and both list a wheelchair row marked 19W near the top of the center sections. The rows are numbered, not lettered.

  • Center sections 7–9 and 23–25 are the premium sideline seats. The arena offers in-seat beverage service in rows 1–10 of these six sections.
  • Corner sections 3–4, 12–13, 19–20 and 28–29 keep a full view of both baskets at a lower demand level.
  • Baseline sections 1 and 31 at one end and 15–17 at the other sit behind the baskets. The Baseline Club is behind section 16.

For a game, the corners are the smart compromise. For a concert, the same sections behave very differently, as explained below.

The 100s and the premium spaces

The 100-numbered sections (102 to 129) form a short band at the top of the lower bowl, below the suite level. They are close to the court in height, but each holds only a few rows. Center sections 107–109 and 123–125 give a full-court view from a slightly higher angle than the lower bowl, which some buyers prefer for following plays.

The arena's map also names several premium seating areas. Names change with sponsorship deals, so treat them as landmarks rather than permanent labels:

  • Baseline Club: at the 15–17 end, behind section 16 and next to sections 115 and 117.
  • Gallagher Terrace: at the opposite end, behind sections 1 and 31.
  • The Toki Row: a strip between the suites and the 205–211 block on the 7–9 side.
  • JetBlue at the Key: the matching strip on the 23–25 side, below sections 221–227.
  • Modelo Bridge: at the 1 and 31 end of the upper level, where 200-level seats would otherwise be.

Judge a premium listing by its location on the map and what it includes, not by the name.

The 200 level: where the value is

The upper level is split into blocks rather than one continuous ring. Along each sideline, a block of six sections faces the court: 205, 206, 207, 209, 210 and 211 above the 7–9 sideline and 221, 222, 223, 225, 226 and 227 above the 23–25 sideline. Smaller angled blocks (202–204, 212–214, 218–220 and 228–230) fill the corners, and 215 and 217 sit above the 15–17 end.

Two seating guides agree that the center 200-level sections run to row 22. The arena is compact, so the lowest rows of 206–210 and 222–226 are close enough for a clear full-court view, and they usually cost far less than the lower bowl. Rows near the top of the corner blocks are the farthest seats in the building.

One caution for groups: the sideline blocks are separated from the corners by gaps on the map, so a listing that spans two sections may not be side by side.

Nets and Liberty: where to sit for basketball

  • Best overall: sections 7–9 and 23–25, rows 5 to 15. Low enough to feel the game, high enough to see over the players on the bench side.
  • Behind the home team: section 7 and the sections next to it, since the Nets bench sits in front of it. Fans who want to watch the bench and the huddles pick this side.
  • Best compromise: corner sections 3–4, 12–13, 19–20 and 28–29, which keep both baskets in view.
  • Best value: rows 1 to 8 of the center 200s.
  • Least useful for a close game: low rows of baseline sections 1, 31 and 15–17, where the basket support and the players along the near baseline block much of the far end.

The New York Liberty use the same arena and the same section numbers, on their own seat map. Demand for both teams rises for marquee opponents and playoff games, and every order is backed by a 100% guarantee.

End-stage concerts: the floor and the best sides

On the arena's concert seat map, the stage sits at the end with sections 1 and 31, in front of them, with Gallagher Terrace behind it. The floor is split into numbered sections, F3 through F8, with F3 nearest the stage and the sound mixing position near the far end of the floor. Some shows sell the floor as general admission (standing room) instead; the arena says GA floor guests receive wristbands and enter at the Atlantic Entrance.

  • Strongest seats: the lower sidelines nearest the stage, sections 4, 6 and 7 on one side and 25, 26 and 28 on the other. They are close and look across the stage at a modest angle.
  • Straight-on views: section 16 and the Baseline Club at the far end face the stage head-on, from the longest distance in the lower bowl.
  • Close but sharply angled: sections 3 and 29, beside the stage, see the performer in profile and may miss screen content.
  • Upper level: 205–207 and 225–227, toward the stage end, beat the far blocks.

Tour designs differ. Center-stage and ring events (boxing, wrestling) put the action mid-floor, which makes every sideline a front and lifts the value of the 200 level.

Accessible seating and sensory services

The arena says wheelchair and companion seating with appropriate sightlines is provided on all levels, and all of its luxury suites are wheelchair accessible. Two seating guides place a wheelchair row (19W) near the top of the center lower-bowl sections.

  • Buying: accessible seats can be bought online through the primary ticketing link, by email to the ticket office, or by phone. Guests who already hold tickets can visit Guest Services outside sections 12 or 212.
  • Elevators serve the main concourse, suite levels A and B, the upper concourse and the event level.
  • Assistive listening headsets are free at Guest Services, and induction loops are at the box office and section 12.
  • Sensory room: the Greyson Mathews Sensory Room sits near section 17 on the main concourse.

Every entrance is ADA accessible, according to the venue. Confirm current procedures in the Barclays Center accessibility guide, and view the current maps on the arena's seating chart page.
