Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Who the Tedeschi Trucks Band is

The Tedeschi Trucks Band is a large blues, soul and Southern rock ensemble formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 2010 and led by the married couple Susan Tedeschi (vocals and guitar) and Derek Trucks (slide guitar). A ticket buys a long, improvised show from a band of about a dozen musicians, including horn players and backing singers, usually in a theater or amphitheater. The setlist changes every night.

Both leaders arrived with long careers. Trucks, born in Jacksonville in 1979, played in the Allman Brothers Band from 1999 until its final show in October 2014 and was ranked No. 16 on Rolling Stone's 2011 list of the greatest guitarists. Tedeschi, born in Boston in 1970 and a Berklee College of Music graduate, earned a Best New Artist Grammy nomination in 2000. The band's debut, Revelator (2011), won the 2012 Grammy for Best Blues Album.

What a Tedeschi Trucks Band show is like

Expect a long evening built on extended solos, with Trucks's slide guitar and Tedeschi's voice at the center and the horns and singers giving it a soul-revue weight. The band draws from its own records, from Revelator through Signs (2019) and the four-part I Am the Moon (2022), plus covers from blues, soul and classic rock. Fans who see several nights in a row rarely hear the same show twice, which is a big part of the draw.

The band also stages special projects. In August 2019 it played Derek and the Dominos' Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs in full at the Lockn' festival in Virginia, released in 2021 as Layla Revisited. I Am the Moon grew out of that idea: 24 original songs inspired by the poem Layla and Majnun, released in four parts from June to August 2022, each with a short film. The band's newest album is Future Soul (2026).

Notable tours and runs, with dates

  • Debut era (2011 to 2012): touring behind Revelator, documented on the live album Everybody's Talkin' (2012).
  • Joe Cocker tribute (2015): a set honoring Cocker at Lockn'.
  • Signs era (2019): keyboardist and flutist Kofi Burbridge died on February 15, 2019, the day Signs was released, and the band toured that year in his memory.
  • Layla at Lockn' (August 24, 2019): the full-album performance later released as Layla Revisited.
  • I Am the Moon (2022): the four-part album and its films.

The band is known for multi-night stands in single theaters and amphitheaters; Wikipedia's coverage names Red Rocks Amphitheatre, New York's Beacon Theatre and the Fox Oakland among its regular rooms. The Beacon has a long link to Trucks: the Allman Brothers Band played 238 concerts there, the last in 2014. The ticket listings on this page carry current dates.

Where to sit for Tedeschi Trucks Band

This is a music-first crowd, and the right seat is the one with the best sound and a clear view of the guitarists. Check each event's seating map.

  • Theaters such as the Beacon (about 2,900 seats over three levels): the center orchestra about a third of the way back is the sweet spot for sound. The front of the first balcony (mezzanine) gives a full view of a wide stage crowded with musicians. Far-side orchestra seats near the stage can lose one side of the band behind the speakers.
  • Amphitheaters: center reserved seats under the roof get the best mix. The lawn suits fans who want room to dance, but long instrumental passages lose detail at the back.
  • Red Rocks: the steep rows mean almost everyone sees over the row in front, and the middle rows near center are the classic choice. Read the listing to see whether rows are reserved or general admission.

Upper balconies in older theaters can be steep and narrow; they are good value for sound, less so for anyone uneasy with heights.

How demand for Tedeschi Trucks Band tickets behaves

Demand concentrates on specific rooms and specific nights rather than on the tour as a whole.

  • Multi-night runs split demand. When the band books several nights in one theater, the opening night and the final night, usually a Friday or Saturday, tend to sell first, and midweek nights offer more choice.
  • Repeat attendance is common. Because the setlist changes nightly, many fans buy several nights, which tightens supply in small theaters.
  • Signature venues draw travelers. Red Rocks and the Beacon pull fans from out of town, so those dates build demand earlier than a typical amphitheater night.
  • Presales first. The band's mailing list and venue presales typically open before the general on-sale, and resale fills in after.

GoodSeats backs every order with a 100% guarantee and guaranteed entry.

Practical notes

Shows run long, so plan transit or parking for a late exit. Theaters and amphitheaters each set their own bag and camera rules; check the venue's current policy before you go. Tour announcements and the band's news are at tedeschitrucksband.com.
