Upcoming Blue Man Group dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

What Blue Man Group is, and where it plays now

Blue Man Group is a performance-art show built around three blue-painted performers, the Blue Men, who never speak. They play percussion on paint-splattered drums and homemade instruments such as the drumbone, mix in comedy and science-fair curiosity, and pull audience members into the act. As of October 2026, its U.S. shows are two permanent residencies, one in Las Vegas at the Luxor and one in Orlando at ICON Park, plus a seasonal holiday production at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre from November 12, 2026, through January 3, 2027.

That map has changed sharply. The long runs in New York, Boston and Chicago all ended in 2025, so older guides that point you to Astor Place are out of date. The show's appeal is the same in every city: loud, funny, physical and almost entirely nonverbal, which makes it work for mixed-age groups and visitors who do not speak English.

From the Lower East Side to a Cirque du Soleil company

Three friends, Chris Wink, Matt Goldman and Phil Stanton, created the Blue Man characters on Manhattan's Lower East Side in 1987. Street happenings turned into club sets and then into a full show at the Astor Place Theatre in 1991. That production became one of New York's longest-running Off-Broadway shows, closing on February 2, 2025, after more than three decades and more than 17,000 performances.

Along the way the group collected:

  • An Obie Award in 1991 and a Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience in 1992
  • A Grammy nomination for Best Pop Instrumental Album, for its gold-certified 1999 album Audio
  • Arena rock tours in the 2000s, including the How to Be a Megastar tour that began in 2006

Goldman sold his stake in 2010, and Wink and Stanton sold theirs to Cirque du Soleil in 2017, which now owns the company. Cirque's 2024 to 2025 consolidation included closing two Blue Man venues.

The Las Vegas, Orlando and Broadway productions

Las Vegas: Luxor

The Las Vegas show plays the Blue Man Theater on the mezzanine level of the Luxor Hotel and Casino, 3900 South Las Vegas Boulevard, where it has been resident since 2015. It is the group's longest-standing U.S. home now that the original New York production has closed.

Orlando: ICON Park

The group left Universal Orlando's CityWalk in 2021 and returned to the city in a new home, the Blue Man Theater at ICON Park, 8390 Universal Boulevard. Its opening slipped from a planned April 2025 to 2026. As of the official site in October 2026, the venue offers free parking on floors 4 through 7 of ICON Park's garage and is cashless.

New York: a holiday engagement

Blue Man Group returns to Manhattan for the holidays with a new seasonal production, listed by the Broadway League as Blue Man Group "A New Holiday Surprise," at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre from November 12, 2026, through January 3, 2027. The Lunt-Fontanne, at 205 West 46th Street, is a far larger house than Astor Place, with about 1,500 seats on an orchestra level and one balcony. Expect a different feel from the old Off-Broadway run, with more distance between most seats and the stage.

Outside the U.S., the official site lists a 2027 European tour that begins in London in February 2027.

Running time, age guidance and sensory notes

As of October 2026, the official site lists a running time of about 90 to 105 minutes with no intermission in Las Vegas, Orlando and New York. The recommended age is 3 and up. In Las Vegas, children 3 and under do not need a ticket if they sit on an adult's lap; Orlando offers child pricing.

Three sensory points matter for families:

  • Volume: the drumming is loud. Earplugs or sound-reducing headphones help younger children, and the Las Vegas show offers them on request.
  • Strobe and flashing light: used during parts of the show. Tell the house manager on arrival if anyone in your group is sensitive.
  • Late seating: latecomers are seated at management's discretion when it will not disrupt the show, and in a show with no intermission that can mean a wait.

The Las Vegas production also schedules autism-friendly performances with reduced sound and light levels.

Where to sit for Blue Man Group

Seat choice for Blue Man Group is less about seeing faces and more about how involved you want to be. The front of the house is part of the show.

The front rows: messy by design

The first rows are where paint and other props can land, and audience members there have traditionally been handed protective ponchos. These seats suit guests who want to be in the splash range and possibly pulled onstage. They are a poor choice for anyone who wants to watch quietly.

Center, mid-house: the best overall view

The drumming, the large-scale visual gags and the finale read best from the center sections a little back from the stage. This is where most first-time visitors should aim.

At the Lunt-Fontanne

For the Broadway engagement, the center orchestra gives the closest experience. The front of the balcony takes in the full stage picture well, and it is often a better buy than the rear orchestra. The highest balcony rows put real distance between you and the performers in a 1,500-seat house.

How demand behaves

The two residencies play most of the year, which keeps demand steady. Patterns to know:

  • Las Vegas tracks convention calendars, holiday weekends and spring break more than any one date.
  • Orlando follows theme-park traffic, so school holidays and summer fill first.
  • The Broadway holiday run is short and falls in New York's busiest theater weeks. Weekend and late-December performances are likely to move fastest, while early November weeknights usually offer more choice.
