Upcoming Tame Impala dates
Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.
What Tame Impala is
Tame Impala is the music project of Kevin Parker, who started it as a home-recording project in Perth, Western Australia, in 2007. Parker writes, records, performs and produces the albums alone; on tour, Tame Impala is a six-piece band. Today it headlines arenas and major festivals, and the show is as much about light and sound as about the musicians, which shapes where you should sit.
The catalog runs from Innerspeaker (2010) and Lonerism (2012) through Currents (2015) and The Slow Rush (2020) to Deadbeat, released October 17, 2025, on Columbia Records. "The Less I Know the Better" was voted No. 1 in Triple J's Hottest 100 of the Decade in 2020, and a remix of "Dracula" with Jennie became the project's first US top-ten single. Tame Impala has won two Grammy Awards in the Best Dance/Electronic Recording category: for "Neverender" with Justice in 2025 and for "End of Summer" in 2026.
The live band and the show
The touring lineup is Parker with Dominic Simper, Jay Watson, Cam Avery, Julien Barbagallo and James Ireland, trading guitars, synthesizers, bass, drums and vocals. Songs stretch out on stage, with long instrumental builds and heavy, bass-forward sound that the newer, dance-leaning material only amplifies.
Production details change from tour to tour, but arena shows in this style typically lean on lighting and video more than on movement on stage. That has a practical consequence: if much of the experience is a room-wide light show, it reads best from a raised seat that faces the stage. The band is not a choreographed act, so being close matters less than at a pop show.
Tours and festival headline sets
Tame Impala has toured each album over multi-year cycles, with festival headline slots in between.
- Currents Tour (2015 to 2018).
- Coachella 2019: announced as a headliner in January 2019.
- Primavera Sound 2020: billed as headliner, only the second Australian act to top that festival.
- The Slow Rush Tour (2020 to 2023).
- Deadbeat Tour (October 27, 2025, to July 10, 2027): 91 concerts across five legs, mostly arenas. Stops have included Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the United Center in Chicago and Moody Center in Austin, where the show set the arena's record for tickets sold, plus The O2 in London. As listed in fall 2026, the remaining legs were Australia in October 2026 and the UK and Europe from May to July 2027. Openers have varied by leg and included Justice, Djo, Dominic Fike and Wet Leg.

Where to sit for a Tame Impala arena show
Check the seating map on your event for the exact layout. In a standard end-stage arena setup, here is how the choices play for this band:
- Floor general admission (standing, no assigned spot): the place to be if you want to move. The bass is felt as much as heard, and the crowd near the front is dense. Toward the back of the floor, sound often balances out near the soundboard, and you still sit inside the lighting.
- Lower-bowl sections facing the stage: arguably the best seats for this show. You look straight into the stage and the full light rig, and you see effects spill across the floor and ceiling.
- Lower-bowl sides near the stage: close to the band, but at a sharp angle the screens and light design lose their shape. Sections a bit back from the stage are the better compromise.
- Upper level, center: a strong value pick here, more than for most acts, because height helps you take in the whole production.
Skip seats behind the stage or marked limited view; at a show this dependent on visuals, they miss most of the point.
How tickets and resale work for this tour
Tickets for the Deadbeat Tour have been sold primarily through Ticketmaster, with presales ahead of each leg's general on-sale. For the second North American leg in 2026, the band used Ticketmaster's Face Value Exchange, which limited resale on Ticketmaster to the price originally paid. That kind of rule matters for buyers: some dates may carry transfer or resale restrictions, so check the event listing and delivery notes carefully before you buy.
Demand otherwise follows familiar patterns. Weekend shows and the larger cities sell first, and festival appearances can pull fans away from nearby headline dates. Prices on the secondary market can rise or fall as a show approaches. GoodSeats orders include no digital transfer fees. For announcements, see the official Tame Impala site.
