Who Pierce the Veil are

Pierce the Veil is a post-hardcore and pop-punk band from San Diego that now headlines amphitheaters and arenas; their 2025–2026 I Can't Hear You World Tour was their first solo headlining amphitheater tour. Brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes founded the band in 2006, and bassist Jaime Preciado and guitarist Tony Perry joined in 2007. Mike Fuentes left in 2017; Vic Fuentes, Perry and Preciado continue with touring drummer Loniel Robinson.

  • Albums: A Flair for the Dramatic (2007), Selfish Machines (2010), Collide with the Sky (2012), Misadventures (2016) and The Jaws of Life (2023).
  • Breakout: Collide with the Sky debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard 200, led by "King for a Day" featuring Kellin Quinn of Sleeping with Sirens.
  • Sound: fast, technical post-hardcore with pop hooks and Latin and Spanish guitar touches, which the band and press have called "mexicore."

The live show

The band built its name on the road, through years of club tours and the Vans Warped Tour (a traveling punk festival), which they played in full in 2008 and on the main stage in 2012. That same year Alternative Press readers voted them Best Live Band. Expect the energy typical of the genre: a packed general admission floor, crowd surfing and circle pits, and a crowd that knows the older albums word for word.

The I Can't Hear You World Tour was built as a career retrospective, drawing songs from all five albums in one set, from "Bulls in the Bronx" and "Caraphernelia" to "Emergency Contact." The standard set closed with "King for a Day," with Kellin Quinn joining on stage on dates where Sleeping with Sirens supported.

Tours and landmark dates

  • The Delicious Tour (October to November 2008): their first headlining tour.
  • PTV/SWS World Tour (2014–2015): co-headlined with Sleeping with Sirens; the European dates sold out.
  • Return from hiatus (2022): after a break that began in late 2017, they came back as direct support on I Prevail's True Power Tour, then headlined behind The Jaws of Life in 2023 and 2024.
  • Supporting Blink-182 (2024): the North American run of the One More Time tour.
  • I Can't Hear You World Tour (May 13, 2025, to September 12, 2026): 72 shows in six legs. North American dates were mostly amphitheaters, plus Madison Square Garden on May 20, 2025, three nights at the Kia Forum, Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the Moody Center. Europe moved to arenas such as OVO Arena Wembley, Co-op Live and OVO Hydro, followed by Latin America, Australia, Honolulu and a closing hometown show at Petco Park in San Diego on September 12, 2026.
  • Festivals: recent bills include Welcome to Rockville (May 2025), Austin City Limits (October 2025) and Louder Than Life in Louisville (September 2026).

New dates, when announced, appear in the live event list on this page.

Where to stand or sit at a Pierce the Veil show

The right ticket depends on what kind of night you want. Layouts vary by venue, so check the seating map on your event.

  • General admission floor or pit: the center of the action, with moshing, crowd surfers coming over the top and constant movement. Go here if you want to be in it, and wear closed-toe shoes. The safest spots for watching rather than participating are toward the sides and rear of the floor.
  • Amphitheater reserved pavilion seats: the best way to see the whole stage and hear a clean mix without the crush. Center sections a third of the way back are the sweet spot.
  • Amphitheater lawn: the budget option with a wide view, but far from the stage; much of the show is watched on screens.
  • Arenas: lower-bowl sections facing the stage give the best combination of view and sound; side sections close to the stage lose part of the production at sharp angles.
  • Stadium and ballpark shows: at a venue like Petco Park, the field is closest, and lower-level seats facing the stage are the better listening seats; upper decks feel distant.

How demand for their tickets behaves

The band moved from clubs and theaters to amphitheaters and arenas over two decades, and the 2025–2026 tour added Madison Square Garden and a ballpark finale. Demand follows a few patterns:

  • Big-market and hometown shows lead. New York, Los Angeles and San Diego dates, and one-off events such as Madison Square Garden or the Petco Park finale, draw the strongest demand.
  • The pit goes first. General admission floor and pit tickets usually sell out before reserved seats, and they carry the most resale interest.
  • Lawn and upper levels hold supply. Amphitheater lawn tickets and upper-level arena seats are typically the last to sell and the easiest to find close to show day.
  • Festival sets are separate. When the band plays festivals like Louder Than Life, you buy the festival pass, not a band ticket.

Show-day advice

  • Dress for the floor. Closed-toe shoes and no loose valuables if you plan to be in the pit.
  • Bring ear protection. Post-hardcore shows run loud, and foam earplugs take little space.
  • Check the venue's bag policy. Amphitheaters and arenas often limit bag size or require clear bags. Policies vary and change, so check the current rules before you go.
  • Arrive for the openers. Recent tours have included strong support bills, such as Sleeping with Sirens.
  • Confirm details. The band's official site, piercetheveil.net, and the live event list on this page carry current dates.
