Who Travis Scott is

Travis Scott (born Jacques Bermon Webster II on April 30, 1991) is a Houston rapper, singer and producer whose reputation rests as much on his live shows as on his records. Wikipedia describes him as known for dynamic live performances, and his most recent tour, the Circus Maximus Tour, grossed more than any other solo rap tour.

His albums, in order:

  • Rodeo (2015): his debut album, with "Antidote."
  • Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight (2016): his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
  • Astroworld (2018): a No. 1 album named for Houston's former Six Flags park, with his first Hot 100 No. 1, "Sicko Mode" featuring Drake.
  • Utopia (2023): a No. 1 album with 496,000 equivalent units in its first week, plus the singles "Meltdown," "Fein" and "K-pop."

He founded the label Cactus Jack Records in 2017, home to Don Toliver and Sheck Wes, and has had five Hot 100 No. 1 hits, including "4x4" in 2025. He grew up in Houston and nearby Missouri City, and the city remains central to his identity.

What a Travis Scott concert is like

A Travis Scott show is loud, fast and physical. The music is bass-heavy and the floor crowd is known for mosh pits, crowd-surfing and nonstop jumping, which fans call raging. That energy is the main attraction for many fans and the main reason others prefer a seat.

His stage designs are built around his album worlds. On the Astroworld – Wish You Were Here Tour (2018–2019), he used two stages, one at each end of the arena, decorated like a theme park with a small working Ferris wheel and roller coaster. The Circus Maximus Tour took its name from the ancient Roman arena where he staged a concert to support Utopia.

Crowd safety is part of his story. On November 5, 2021, a crowd crush during his set at his Astroworld Festival at NRG Park in Houston killed ten people and injured hundreds. His first solo show after that came on August 6, 2022, at The O2 Arena in London. Fans should take floor conditions seriously, follow staff directions and know where the exits are.

Travis Scott's tours, dated

The runs below are documented in the sources for this page. Current dates, if any, appear in the live event list.

  • The Rodeo Tour (March 1 to April 1, 2015): a North American run with Young Thug and Metro Boomin, from Santa Ana, California, to Portland, Oregon.
  • Birds Eye View Tour (March 10 to June 2, 2017): from New Orleans to Eugene, Oregon, followed by a European leg.
  • Astroworld – Wish You Were Here Tour (November 8, 2018, to July 16, 2019): 57 arena shows across three legs, from Baltimore to The O2 Arena in London, with 764,236 tickets sold and a gross of about 63.7 million dollars.
  • Circus Maximus Tour (October 11, 2023, to November 19, 2025): 85 shows from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte to a final date in Mumbai, including SoFi Stadium and the Circus Maximus in Rome. Wikipedia lists a total gross of about 265 million dollars, the most for a solo rap tour and second among rap tours only to Drake's It's All a Blur Tour.

He also performed as a guest during the Super Bowl LIII halftime show in 2019 and staged "Astronomical," five virtual concerts inside the video game Fortnite in April 2020 that drew more than 27 million unique participants.

Where to sit for Travis Scott

Decide first whether you want to be in the crowd or watch it. Check the seating map for your date, since floors may be sold as general admission (GA, standing room with no assigned spot) and staging varies by tour and venue.

GA floor

The floor is where the moshing happens. Near the stage it is packed, hot and constantly moving, and fans regularly get pushed, crowd-surf or end up far from where they started. Choose it only if you want that experience and can stand and move for the full set. It is a poor choice for young children, anyone with mobility concerns or anyone who wants a steady view; the edges and rear of the floor are calmer than the center front.

Lower bowl

The best seats for most buyers are the 100-level sections (the lower ring of seats around the floor) along the sides, close to the stage. You see the performer, the lighting and the floor crowd itself, which is part of the show. On a two-stage layout like the Astroworld tour's, sections near the middle of the sideline sit between both stages.

Upper level and stadiums

The upper level is the value play and still delivers the lighting and screen effects, which read well from height. In stadiums, lower-level sideline seats are better than distant end seats, and the screens matter more. Avoid seats behind the stage unless the listing promises a view.

How Travis Scott ticket demand behaves

Travis Scott tours are infrequent, which concentrates demand. The Circus Maximus Tour was his first in almost five years, and with about 209 million dollars reported partway through, it was already the highest-grossing tour by a solo rapper at that point, according to Wikipedia.

  • Long gaps mean fast on-sales. When a new tour follows a long break, presales and the general on-sale tend to move quickly.
  • Stadium dates add supply. Larger venues mean more seats per city, which can steady resale prices compared with arena dates.
  • The floor carries a premium. GA floor access is usually the most sought-after ticket because of the experience, not the view.
  • Houston is special. Hometown shows carry extra symbolic weight for fans.

GoodSeats lists mostly resale tickets, so prices can be above or below face value. Every order comes with a 100% guarantee.

Before the show

Expect late headline sets, strict security checks and mobile-only entry at most venues. Bag size and clear-bag rules vary by building and change often, so check the venue's current policy before you go. For official announcements, see Travis Scott's official site.

Frequently asked questions

Is the floor at a Travis Scott concert standing room?

Often, yes. Many dates sell the floor as general admission, and it is the most crowded and physical part of the venue. Check the seating map for your specific show.
