Who BTS are and why their tickets are scarce
BTS is a seven-member K-pop group (Korean popular music, a genre built on polished vocals, rap and synchronized choreography) from Seoul, South Korea. In the United States the group plays stadiums, usually for two to four nights in each city, and those nights sell out within hours. The members are RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook. The group formed in 2010 under BigHit Entertainment and debuted on June 12, 2013.
Their American breakthrough came in 2018, when Love Yourself: Tear became the first album by a Korean act to reach number one on the Billboard 200. Number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 followed, starting with "Dynamite" in August 2020 and continuing with "Life Goes On," "Butter" and "Permission to Dance." In 2020 they became the first Korean act to perform at the Grammy Awards. Their fan base, known as ARMY, is one of the most organized in music, and it shapes how every on-sale plays out.
The hiatus and the 2025 reunion
The group announced a pause in group activity on June 14, 2022, so that members could pursue solo work and complete South Korea's mandatory military service. Jin enlisted first, in December 2022, and the last members were discharged in June 2025. The seven reunited publicly on July 1, 2025.
The comeback album, Arirang, was released on March 20, 2026, led by the single "Swim," and became the group's fourth number-one album on the Billboard 200. A free comeback concert at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul followed on March 21, 2026. That nearly four-year gap without a group tour is a large part of why demand for the 2026 dates was so intense.
What a BTS stadium concert is like
A BTS concert is a large-scale production: full-group choreography, solo and sub-unit segments, video interludes, pyrotechnics and long stretches where the members walk extended stages to reach every side of the crowd. The audience is part of the show. Expect a crowd that sings, chants and waves light sticks through most of the night, even in the top rows.
For the Arirang World Tour, the group moved to a 360-degree stage (a central stage that faces every direction, so seats on all sides of the stadium look toward the performers). The stage centered on a pavilion design inspired by Gyeonghoeru Pavilion. That configuration changes the seating advice compared with earlier BTS stadium tours, which used conventional end stages.
BTS tours, dated
The group's major tours and stadium runs, with dates from the cited tour records:
- The Wings Tour (2017): the third installment of their Live Trilogy concert series.
- Love Yourself World Tour (August 2018 to April 2019): four nights at Staples Center in Los Angeles in September 2018, then a show at Citi Field in New York on October 6, 2018, the first stadium show headlined by a Korean act in the United States.
- Love Yourself: Speak Yourself (May to October 2019): a stadium extension with two nights each at the Rose Bowl, Soldier Field and MetLife Stadium in May 2019, plus Wembley Stadium in London. Billboard reported a box office of about 115.7 million dollars for the 20 Speak Yourself shows.
- Permission to Dance on Stage (October 2021 to April 2022): four nights at SoFi Stadium in late 2021 and four at Allegiant Stadium in April 2022, with about 214,000 and 200,000 fans in person, respectively, plus paid livestreams.
- Arirang World Tour (April 9, 2026, to March 2027): 88 shows in 34 cities across Asia, Europe, North America, South America and Oceania. The North American stadium leg ran from April to September 2026, with stops including Raymond James Stadium, Allegiant Stadium (four nights), MetLife Stadium, Gillette Stadium, M&T Bank Stadium, AT&T Stadium, Soldier Field and four nights at SoFi Stadium.
As of October 2026, the remaining Arirang dates were outside North America. Any new dates will appear in the live event list on this page.
Where to sit for a BTS stadium show
Seating advice depends on the stage layout, so check the map on your event before you buy. For the 360-degree configuration used on the Arirang tour:
- Field sections closest to the center stage: the nearest seats in the stadium. The field is flat, so views from the back of a field section depend on the crowd in front of you and on the screens.
- Lower-bowl sideline sections: the strongest overall choice. You sit above the field crowd, look down onto the stage and see the full choreography, which matters more for this group than raw distance.
- Lower-bowl end-zone sections: worth a look in a 360 layout. With no back of the stage, these seats face the performers directly and often cost less than sideline seats at the same height.
- Upper level: the value tier. You lose detail on faces, but you see the whole stage and the crowd around it, and a 360 layout keeps even distant seats facing the action.
On earlier end-stage tours, seats behind and directly beside the stage were blocked or sold as limited view. If a future tour returns to an end stage, favor seats facing the stage over side sections level with it.
How demand for BTS tickets behaves
On the Arirang tour, the South Korean, North American and European dates sold out within a few hours of both the presale and the general sale. Several patterns follow from that:
- Fan-registration presales take most of the first wave. Expect any presale to require advance registration, and expect the general sale to have few seats left after it.
- Multi-night stands spread demand unevenly. Weekend nights and the final night in a city usually draw the most interest, and added dates tend to sell well too.
- Resale fills the gap. Prices on the secondary market can run well above face value right after a sellout and may soften as the date approaches, though that is not guaranteed for a tour this scarce.
- Fans travel. A large share of the crowd flies in from other cities and countries, so hotels near the stadium fill early. Book lodging when you buy tickets.

Frequently asked questions
Does BTS play arenas or stadiums?
In the United States, BTS has played stadiums since 2018, usually for two to four nights per city. The 2026 North American leg of the Arirang World Tour was all stadiums.
What stage does BTS use on the Arirang World Tour?
A 360-degree central stage built around a pavilion inspired by Gyeonghoeru Pavilion in Seoul. Seats on every side of the stadium face the performers.
