The Raiders' domed stadium just off the Strip
Allegiant Stadium is a 65,000-seat domed stadium about a mile west of the Las Vegas Strip, across Interstate 15 from Mandalay Bay, and it is home to the Las Vegas Raiders of the NFL and the UNLV Rebels. It also hosts the Las Vegas Bowl each December, stadium concert tours, soccer and WrestleMania. Capacity expands to about 71,800 for large events.
Because the roof is fixed and the building is climate controlled, the usual stadium questions about sun, shade and rain do not apply. The choices that matter here are level, sideline position and how far you want to walk.
- Raiders games: the NFL regular season runs September into early January, with visiting fan bases traveling heavily to Las Vegas.
- UNLV football: fall Saturdays, usually the easiest stadium ticket in town.
- Concerts and special events: spring through fall, often on weekends that also draw convention and tourist crowds.
How the levels and sections are numbered
The bowl is organized in numbered tiers, each wrapping the field:
- 100 level: the lower bowl, with sideline sections running up to about 40 rows.
- Field-level clubs: premium seats with a C prefix, such as the Champions Club behind the benches.
- 200 level: the suite and loge level, short sections (section 206, for example, runs about 13 rows) above the lower bowl.
- 300 level: the upper bowl.
- 400 level: the highest seats in the building.
One end of the stadium holds the 85-foot Al Davis Memorial Torch and tall retractable windows that look out toward the Strip. Seating guides place the end zone sections at roughly the 120s and 140s.
Seat guides disagree on which numbered 100-level sections sit behind the Raiders bench and which behind the visitors. If sitting behind a specific bench matters to you, confirm with the seat map on your listing rather than relying on a single published guide.
Where to sit for football and concerts
Football
- Lower sideline, rows 15 and up: high enough to see over the benches and players standing on the sideline, still close enough to feel the hits.
- 200-level loge: arguably the best football angle in the building, elevated and near the field, and priced above the 100s at midfield.
- 300 level between the 20-yard lines: the value pick. Seat guides name sections around 312 and 337 as central upper-bowl views on each side.
- 400 level: the lowest-priced seats; stay near midfield, since corners and end zones up here put the far end of the field a long way off.
Front rows of the lower end zones look appealing on a map but flatten the field, making plays at the other end hard to read. Rows higher up in the end zone sections give a better view of formations.
Concerts
For an end-stage concert, the sideline sections of the 100 and 200 levels nearest the stage end give the best mix of distance and angle. Sections directly opposite the stage in the upper levels are the farthest seats in the building. Floor tickets put you closest but on a flat surface, so shorter fans may see more from a raised seat.
Demand: which events sell fastest
Raiders demand peaks for division rivals and for opponents whose fans travel well to Las Vegas, since many visitors turn a road game into a weekend trip. Prime-time and holiday-week games add to that. UNLV games are the opposite case, with plenty of inventory. Concert demand depends on the tour and on what else is in town that weekend, since big conventions and fight nights compete for the same hotel rooms. Resale prices move with that supply, so a sold-out primary sale does not always mean the resale market stays tight.
Getting there from the Strip
The stadium sits at 3333 Al Davis Way. For most visitors, walking is the fastest way in and out.
- On foot: the pedestrian-only Hacienda Bridge runs from Las Vegas Boulevard near Mandalay Bay and Luxor to the stadium, a walk of less than a mile, about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Rideshare: the designated zone is at the front of Lot N, 5285 Dean Martin Drive. Mandalay Bay and Luxor also handle rideshare traffic, connected by the Hacienda Bridge.
- Parking: event parking is sold in advance through the SpotHero app, and some surrounding streets switch to one-way on game days.
- Transit: the RTC has run a Game Day Express service to the stadium from several pickup points; check the RTC's current schedule.
Tailgating is allowed in designated lots, and a free tailgate zone in Lot N has served fans without cars. Rules change by season, so check the stadium's current lot list.
Bag policy and entry
As of the 2025 season, Allegiant Stadium enforces a clear-bag policy (bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC, no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches). A small clutch up to 4.5 by 6.5 by 2 inches is allowed alongside one clear bag. Backpacks, larger purses and coolers are prohibited. Check the venue's current policy before you go on the stadium's first-time guest page.
The stadium is cashless for parking and concessions. GoodSeats orders include guaranteed entry, and tickets are delivered with no digital transfer fees.
Food and amenities
Concessions lean on Las Vegas restaurant names, with outlets that have included Pizza Rock, Rollin Smoke BBQ, Guy Fieri's Tailgate Kitchen and Pinkbox spread across the levels. Club and suite tickets typically include their own food and lounge access, which is part of why the 200 level and field clubs price well above nearby seats.
History of Allegiant Stadium
Ground broke on November 13, 2017, as the Raiders prepared to leave Oakland, and the stadium opened on July 31, 2020, at a cost of about 1.9 billion dollars. Public funding came from a hotel room tax, with the team covering the rest. Allegiant Air holds the naming rights. Its first NFL season was played largely without fans because of the pandemic.
The building was designed to be flexible. The Raiders play on natural Bermuda grass grown in a tray that rolls in and out, while UNLV uses artificial turf. The stadium hosted Super Bowl LVIII in February 2024, matches of the 2024 Copa America and WrestleMania, and the NFL has awarded it Super Bowl LXIII in 2029.
