Who Disturbed is and what a ticket gets you

Disturbed is an American heavy metal band from Chicago, formed in 1994. The lineup is singer David Draiman, guitarist Dan Donegan, drummer Mike Wengren and bassist John Moyer. A Disturbed ticket buys a loud, high-energy rock show built around Draiman's percussive vocals and Donegan's riffs, with pyrotechnics and a crowd that knows every word of "Down with the Sickness." The band plays arenas, amphitheaters and the major US rock festivals.

The debut album The Sickness (2000) is certified five times platinum and has sold more than four million copies in the US. The next four studio albums, Believe (2002), Ten Thousand Fists (2005), Indestructible (2008) and Asylum (2010), each debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. The band has sold more than 17 million records worldwide and earned two Grammy nominations.

From Chicago clubs to the Billboard 200

Donegan, Wengren and original bassist Steve "Fuzz" Kmak played in a band called Brawl before Draiman answered an ad in a Chicago music paper in 1996 and the group became Disturbed. The band's mascot, a grinning figure called The Guy, has appeared on its artwork since the early demos. Moyer replaced Kmak in 2004.

  • Hiatus (October 2011 to June 2015): the band stepped away after its 2011 US tour and returned with Immortalized in August 2015.
  • "The Sound of Silence" (December 2015): a slow, orchestral cover of the Simon & Garfunkel song that reached number 42 on the Billboard Hot 100, topped the Mainstream Rock chart and is certified nine times platinum in the US. A performance on Conan became the most-watched video in that show's library, and Paul Simon praised it.
  • Later albums: Evolution (2018) and Divisive (2022), which features Ann Wilson of Heart on "Don't Tell Me." "Bad Man" earned a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance in 2024.

Disturbed tours and festival runs, dated

The tours below are documented in the sources for this page.

  • Ozzfest: the band played the touring metal festival in its early years, including 2003, and headlined it in 2006 alongside System of a Down.
  • Music as a Weapon: the band's own package tour, with editions including 2003 (with Chevelle), 2006 (with Stone Sour and Flyleaf) and a 2011 run co-headlined with Korn.
  • Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar (2010) and Mayhem Festival (2011): headline slots on two traveling summer festivals.
  • Red Rocks (2016): the post-hiatus tour produced the live album Live at Red Rocks, recorded at the Colorado amphitheater.
  • Evolution World Tour (2019) and the Take Back Your Life Tour (2023 to 2024).
  • The Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour (February 25 to October 28, 2025): 51 dates in North America and Europe. Each night paired The Sickness played in full with a set of greatest hits, with support from acts including Three Days Grace, Sevendust, Daughtry, Nothing More and Megadeth. At the United Center in Chicago on March 8, Kmak rejoined the band for the first time since 2003.

After the 2025 tour, the band said it would take a break from live performance in 2026. Check the live event list on this page for any confirmed dates.

Where to sit for a Disturbed concert

Most Disturbed headline shows use an end-stage layout (the stage at one end, with the floor in front of it), but confirm the setup on the seating map attached to each event.

  • Floor: often general admission standing. The area closest to the stage is the loudest and most physical part of the room, and mosh pits often form there during the heavier songs. The middle and back of the floor near the soundboard are calmer and sound better.
  • Lower-level sideline seats near the stage: the best way to see the pyrotechnics. A raised angle shows the flame effects and the full stage at once, and these seats are close without the crush of the floor.
  • Lower-level seats facing the stage: square to the stage and the screens and usually in line with the best mix.
  • Upper level: the value tier for this show. Front rows near center keep the full stage and its effects in view.
  • Amphitheater lawns: at outdoor venues, the lawn (general admission grass behind the reserved seats) is usually the lowest-cost way in but far from the stage.

Bring earplugs. Pyrotechnics, a heavy low end and a loud crowd make this one of the louder shows an arena hosts; in March 2025 the band's fire effects even caused minor damage to the championship banners hanging in the United Center.

How demand for Disturbed tickets behaves

Demand for Disturbed is driven by anniversaries, long gaps and big rock markets.

  • Early-access sign-ups come first. For the 2025 tour, fans signed up for first-access presale tickets through the band's sites several days before the general Ticketmaster on-sale.
  • Premium packages take some of the best inventory. The 2025 tour sold three tiers of fan packages, including a meet-and-greet tier, an early-entry general admission tier and a priority-seating tier, so some of the closest reserved seats were sold as packages.
  • Anniversary and comeback tours spike. The return from hiatus in 2015 and the 25th anniversary of The Sickness both drew heavy interest, and a break from touring tends to concentrate demand when the band returns.
  • Midwest and big-market dates move first. Hometown Chicago shows and weekend dates in large rock markets usually sell through earliest.

Resale prices on the secondary market can sit above or below face value and tend to move as the show approaches. Every order on GoodSeats is backed by a 100% guarantee. For band announcements, see Disturbed's official site.
