Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Eric Church at a glance

Eric Church is a North Carolina-born country singer-songwriter who headlines arenas, amphitheaters and, in 2027, stadiums, and his reputation rests on the live show: long sets, rarities and a set list that changes from night to night. Born in Granite Falls in 1977 and a marketing graduate of Appalachian State University, he released his debut album, Sinners Like Me, in 2006 and has built his career on country rock and Southern rock as much as on radio country.

  • Chief (2011): his first No. 1 album and the 2012 CMA Album of the Year, with "Drink in My Hand" and "Springsteen."
  • CMA Entertainer of the Year: 2020, the top award for a touring country act.
  • Super Bowl LV: he sang the national anthem with Jazmine Sullivan.
  • Evangeline vs. the Machine (May 2025): his eighth studio album, built for a fuller band with strings and horns.

He is also a minority owner of the Charlotte Hornets and opened Chief's, a bar and performance venue in downtown Nashville, in April 2024.

Why his concerts have a following

Church's story starts with playing too long. Early in his career he was fired from opening for Rascal Flatts for running past his time slot, and he has built a headline show around that instinct ever since. His 2017 Holdin' My Own Tour dropped the opening act entirely: he played two full sets with an intermission. His team's official recaps describe a show built on surprise. At Red Rocks on July 6, 2026, marking 20 years since his debut album, he played Sinners Like Me in full plus club-era rarities and nothing from his last three studio albums.

Fans who travel to multiple shows are a big part of the crowd, because no two set lists match. The Free the Machine Tour was the exception that proves the rule: he played the eight songs of Evangeline vs. the Machine front to back every night, with strings, horns and background vocalists, then changed the rest of the set freely, more than 80 different songs across the run.

Headlining tours, dated

  • Holdin' My Own Tour (January 13 to May 27, 2017): 62 North American arena shows with no opener, ending with two sold-out nights at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The Saturday show set the arena's attendance record at 19,020.
  • Double Down Tour (2019), Gather Again Tour (2021–2022) and Outsiders Revival Tour (2023): arena and amphitheater runs listed in his tour history.
  • Free the Machine Tour (September 12, 2025, to April 11, 2026): 46 arena dates opening in Pittsburgh and closing at Benchmark International Arena in Tampa.
  • Red Rocks Amphitheatre: three sold-out nights in July 2025 and three more on July 6 to 8, 2026, followed by two nights at Lake Tahoe Amphitheatre on July 15 and 16, 2026.
  • 2027 dates: as of October 2026, his official site listed arena shows in Melbourne and Sydney and the CMC Rocks festival in Australia in March 2027, then stadium dates including Raymond James Stadium in Tampa (April 24), AT&T Stadium in Arlington (May 8) and U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis (May 22).

He also co-organized the Concert for Carolina with Luke Combs at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte on October 26, 2024, a benefit for Hurricane Helene relief.

Choosing seats: arenas, Red Rocks and stadiums

Church's shows run long and lean on the band, so sound and a clear view of the stage matter more than being pressed against it. The right seat depends on the room.

Arenas

  • The pit (the standing area directly in front of the stage) was reserved for fan club members on the Free the Machine Tour; see the next section.
  • Lower-bowl sections facing the stage give the best mix and the full stage picture, which matters when strings and horns are on stage.
  • Upper-level center is the value choice; avoid extreme side angles near the stage, where speaker stacks and stage wings cut the view.

Red Rocks and amphitheaters

  • Red Rocks is a steep open-air amphitheater, and recent Church dates there were general admission, so the line can start hours before doors. Mid-venue rows give the best sound, and the steep rake (the slope of the seating) keeps sightlines open.
  • At other amphitheaters, reserved pavilion seats near center beat the lawn for sound; the lawn is the relaxed budget option.

Stadiums

  • The field is closest; lower-level seats facing the stage are the better listening seats. Upper decks are far away, and sound can echo in a large bowl, so center beats the ends.

The Church Choir, presales and anti-scalping rules

Church is one of the most outspoken artists in country music about ticket scalping, and his ticketing rules reflect it.

  • Church Choir: his official fan club offers members the first opportunity to buy tickets, with presales ahead of the public on-sale. A premium tier adds features on the official site.
  • Pit access: for the Free the Machine Tour, pit tickets were reserved for Church Choir members and had to be picked up at will-call (the box office window), which limits resale of those spots.
  • Canceled tickets: in February 2017 his team canceled about 25,000 Holdin' My Own Tour tickets it identified as bought by scalpers.

For buyers, this means the pit and some front sections are restricted, and reserved seats elsewhere carry the resale market. Weekend shows, multi-night stands and destination dates such as Red Rocks draw the hardest demand; weeknight arena dates and upper levels are where availability usually holds longest. Before buying any restricted-access ticket, read the listing for transfer and pickup terms.

Show-day tips

  • Budget for a long show. His sets can run past two hours, so plan transit and parking for a late exit.
  • Arrive early for general admission. At Red Rocks in July 2026, the general admission line began before 10 a.m. for a 6 p.m. door time.
  • Check bag rules. Arenas and stadiums commonly enforce size limits or clear-bag policies; check the venue's current policy before you go.
  • Confirm dates and presales. See ericchurch.com for fan club presales and the live event list on this page for current dates.
