Upcoming ODESZA dates
Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.
Who ODESZA is and what kind of show you are buying
ODESZA is the American electronic music duo of Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight, formed in 2012 at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, and its tickets buy one of two very different things: a full live show built around the albums, or a club-style DJ set. The live show is the large-scale production played in arenas, other large venues and festival headline slots; DJ sets are shorter, club-focused nights. Check the listing title before you buy.
Mills, who studied graphic design, and Knight, who studied physics and mathematics and was classically trained on piano, are known individually as Catacombkid and BeachesBeaches. The name comes from a sunken boat that belonged to Mills' uncle, named after the Ukrainian city of Odesa, with a Hungarian-style spelling. In March 2015 they founded Foreign Family Collective, a label and outlet for musicians and visual artists.
The albums behind the live show
ODESZA's sound is melodic and emotional rather than aggressive, built on vocal samples, guest singers and big crescendos. The catalog:
- Summer's Gone (2012): the self-released debut that built an underground following.
- In Return (2014): the first release on Ninja Tune's Counter Records, reaching number 42 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the US dance chart. The RAC mix of "Say My Name" earned the duo's first Grammy nomination.
- A Moment Apart (2017): number 3 on the Billboard 200 and a Grammy nominee for Best Dance/Electronic Album, with "Line of Sight" nominated for Best Dance Recording. "Corners of the Earth" was chosen as an anthem for the 2018 Winter Olympics.
- Bronson (2020): a side project with Australian producer Golden Features.
- The Last Goodbye (2022): number 11 on the Billboard 200 and another Best Dance/Electronic Album nominee, built around a Bettye LaVette sample on the title track.
In 2025 the duo also released Music To Refine To, a remix companion to the score of the Apple TV+ series Severance.
Tours and festival headline sets, dated
The tours below are documented in this page's sources. The live event list on this page shows any current dates.
- In Return Tour (from March 12, 2014): the first headline tour; by October 2014 the North American run had sold out 28 shows.
- A Moment Apart Tour (2017 to 2018): a world tour across Australia, Europe and North America that sold out large arenas, including Staples Center in Los Angeles and Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The 2018 leg included a Sunday-night Coachella slot ahead of Eminem.
- The Last Goodbye Tour (June 2022 to summer 2024): more than 40 North American shows plus festival sets at Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, Lollapalooza and Life Is Beautiful. A "Finale" slate in summer 2024 played California, New York, Colorado and Washington. A 27-track live album from the tour, released May 31, 2024, captures mash-ups and remixes that had been heard only at the shows.
The duo's festival history goes back to Sasquatch in George, Washington, followed by more than 20 festival slots, among them Coachella, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, Firefly and Lollapalooza. Separately, the official site has listed club DJ-set dates, such as Echostage in Washington, DC, which are a different format from the full production.
Where to stand or sit at an ODESZA show
The production depends on screens, lighting and visuals as much as on the stage, so distance and angle matter differently than at a rock show.
Arenas
- General-admission floor: the dance-floor experience. Stand slightly behind the front third and near center to take in the full visual wall rather than craning up at it.
- Lower bowl facing the stage: the best reserved choice for the visuals, square to the screens and near the soundboard.
- Lower-bowl sides near the stage: closer to the duo, but the side angle flattens the visual design.
- Upper level facing the stage: a good value for this kind of show, since the lighting reads well from height.
If your date is at an amphitheater
- Floor or pit: where most fans dance; the listing will say whether the front area is standing room.
- The lawn: a strong value choice, because a show built on visuals and sound carries well up a slope. Arrive early for a central spot.
Festivals
- Festival passes cover the full lineup. Position at the main stage depends on arrival time, and upgraded GA+ or VIP tiers typically add separate entrances and viewing areas rather than a reserved spot.
How demand for ODESZA tickets behaves
ODESZA's touring is cyclical, tied to album releases, and that drives demand.
- Album cycles concentrate the dates. Big tours follow new records, as with A Moment Apart in 2017 and The Last Goodbye in 2022, and gaps between cycles can last years. When a run is announced, demand spikes early.
- GA floors move fast. The standing floor is the most requested area for an electronic show, and close floor access is usually the first to go.
- Special shows draw travelers. Billed events such as the 2024 Finale dates pull fans from other regions, which tends to push up resale demand in those markets.
- DJ sets sell differently. Club nights have small capacities and can sell out quickly, but they are not the full live production.
Every GoodSeats order is backed by a 100% guarantee, which helps when buying resale for a sold-out date.
Before you go
Expect a show paced like an album, with songs blended into each other and guest vocals played in the mix, and plan to stand for most of it even if you have a reserved seat. Earplugs are worth bringing for the floor.
Venue and festival policies on bags, hydration packs and re-entry differ by event and change from year to year; check the venue's or festival's current policy before you go. Official tour news appears at odesza.com.
