Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Who the Eagles are and where they play now

The Eagles are the Los Angeles rock band behind "Hotel California," "Take It Easy" and "Desperado," and since 2023 they have been in a declared farewell phase. The Long Goodbye Tour opened at Madison Square Garden on September 7, 2023, and in September 2024 the band began a residency at Sphere in Las Vegas, which has since become its main stage. Seeing the Eagles now usually means planning around a limited number of dates rather than waiting for a show in your city.

Formed in 1971 by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner, the band had five No. 1 singles and six No. 1 albums in the US. Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) is the best-selling album in the United States, at 40 million copies, and Hotel California (1976) has sold more than 32 million worldwide. The band has sold more than 200 million records, won six Grammy Awards and entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

What an Eagles concert sounds like today

An Eagles show is a long, carefully played greatest-hits set built on vocal harmonies. Timothy B. Schmit explained in a 2022 interview with Louder that the band dropped newer songs from its sets because audiences want to hear "Best of My Love," "One of These Nights" and the other classics. That is exactly what the show delivers.

After Glenn Frey's death in January 2016, the band returned in 2017 with his son Deacon Frey and country star Vince Gill sharing lead vocals on Frey's songs. Deacon left in 2022 and rejoined in 2023 for the farewell tour. In 2025, longtime touring guitarist Steuart Smith retired and was replaced by Chris Holt. In 2019 the band performed Hotel California in full at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas with a 46-piece orchestra and a 22-voice choir, followed by a hits set, and the Hotel California Tour followed.

The crowd is mostly adult and attentive. People sing along to "Take It Easy" and "Hotel California," but most of the night is spent listening, which makes sound quality a bigger factor in seat choice than at a louder rock show.

The Eagles on the road, dated

The band's touring history explains why its tickets behave the way they do. Current dates, if any, appear in the live event list on this page.

  • 1970s: large world tours behind One of These Nights and Hotel California, plus a 1978 co-headlining stadium tour with the Steve Miller Band.
  • 1994 to 1996: the Hell Freezes Over reunion tour, the first of several reunion runs noted for record-setting ticket prices.
  • 2008 to 2011: the Long Road Out of Eden world tour, including a 2010 North American stadium run with the Dixie Chicks and Keith Urban.
  • 2013 to 2015: the History of the Eagles Tour, which began with arena shows and featured Bernie Leadon.
  • 2020 to 2022: the Hotel California Tour, interrupted after ten shows by the COVID-19 pandemic and resumed in 2021.
  • September 2023 onward: The Long Goodbye farewell tour, opening at Madison Square Garden.
  • September 2024 onward: the Sphere residency in Las Vegas. Its first eight concerts sold about 131,000 tickets. In February 2026, Henley said the band would disband at the end of the current tour, while adding that he had said similar things before.

Where to sit at Sphere and on tour

At Sphere

Sphere is a stacked, steep bowl facing a stage at one end, with a giant LED screen that rises behind the band and curves overhead. For the Eagles, the screen and the harmonies are the show, so the best seat sees both the stage and the top of the screen.

  • Center 200 level: the strongest all-around choice. You are close enough to see the musicians and high enough to take in the visuals without craning.
  • Lower 100 level, front rows: best for fans who want to watch the musicians up close and do not mind looking up at the image. Seating guides report that rows 30 and higher in the 100s sit under the 200-level overhang and lose the top of the screen, so check the row before you buy.
  • 300 level: a sensible middle ground for sound and view.
  • 400 level: the full picture in one frame, though the band itself looks small.

For more on the room, see the GoodSeats guide to Sphere.

Arenas

On tour, the lower bowl facing the stage is the best seat for a harmony-led show: a raised, centered view with the cleanest sound. The floor is closest but flat, and because most of this audience stays seated, a mid-floor seat can work better here than at a pop show. Sections beside the stage give closeness at the cost of sound balance and screen views.

How demand for Eagles tickets behaves

Eagles tickets have been among the more expensive in rock since the 1990s reunion tours, and the farewell framing adds urgency. Several structural factors drive the market.

  • Limited dates in one place. A residency concentrates the entire run in Las Vegas, so demand from across the country lands on a handful of weekend nights.
  • Travel planning. Many buyers pair a show with flights and hotels, so Friday and Saturday dates and holiday weekends tend to tighten first. Buy the ticket before booking the trip.
  • Packages sell alongside tickets. The band's official site sells travel packages and premium packages for the Sphere dates, which take some of the best seats out of the general pool.
  • Farewell effect. Statements that the band is nearing the end tend to lift demand quickly. Resale prices can sit above or below face value and may shift in the last days as travelers confirm or release plans.

A short history of the band

Frey and Henley met at the Troubadour in Los Angeles and, with Leadon and Meisner, first played together as Linda Ronstadt's backing group before signing with David Geffen's Asylum Records in September 1971. Don Felder joined in 1974, Joe Walsh replaced Leadon in 1975, and Timothy B. Schmit replaced Meisner after the 1977 tour. The band broke up in 1980 and reunited in 1994 for Hell Freezes Over, named for Henley's line that the group would return "when hell freezes over."

Later milestones include Long Road Out of Eden (2007), their sixth US No. 1 album, the 2013 documentary History of the Eagles, and the Kennedy Center Honors, deferred from 2015 to 2016 because of Frey's illness. Meisner died in July 2023, weeks after the farewell tour was announced.

Frequently asked questions

Are the Eagles still touring?

The band announced The Long Goodbye farewell tour in July 2023 and has played a residency at Sphere in Las Vegas since September 2024. As of October 2026, the band's official site listed Sphere dates into January 2027; check the live event list for current shows.

What are the best seats for the Eagles at Sphere?

Center 200-level seats are the consensus choice because they show both the band and the full screen. Front rows of the 100 level are closer, but rows near the back of the 100s sit under an overhang that hides the top of the screen.

Who sings Glenn Frey's songs at Eagles concerts?

Since 2017, Glenn Frey's son Deacon Frey and Vince Gill have shared lead vocals on Frey's songs. Deacon left in 2022 and returned in 2023 for the farewell tour.

Do the Eagles play Hotel California in full?

The band played the album in full with an orchestra and choir in Las Vegas in 2019 then took the Hotel California Tour on the road from 2020 to 2022. Setlists vary by run, so check recent reviews for the current show.

Is this really the Eagles' last tour?

In February 2026, Don Henley said the band would disband at the end of the current tour, while acknowledging he had made similar statements before.
