Retired from touring Aug 2024 · no tour dates listed Oct 2026

Aerosmith retired from touring in August 2024 after Steven Tyler's vocal injury; any show the band plays now is a rare one-off, not a tour stop.

Upcoming Aerosmith dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

Is Aerosmith touring?

No. Aerosmith announced its immediate retirement from touring on August 2, 2024, and canceled every remaining date of its farewell tour because Steven Tyler's recovery from a 2023 vocal-cord injury was "not possible." When checked on October 1, 2026, the tour page on the band's official site stated that no tour dates were listed. The band has not ruled out an occasional single show, but it has not scheduled one, and nothing announced so far amounts to a tour.

That status should shape how you read any Aerosmith listing. A genuine Aerosmith concert in 2026 or later would be a one-off event announced through the band's own channels, so treat an unfamiliar listing with caution and confirm it against the official site before you buy.

The band behind the songs

Aerosmith formed in Boston in 1970. The classic lineup is Steven Tyler (vocals), Joe Perry and Brad Whitford (guitars), Tom Hamilton (bass) and Joey Kramer (drums). The band built its sound on blues-based hard rock, and the Tyler and Perry songwriting partnership earned the nickname the "Toxic Twins."

  • 1970s breakthrough: Toys in the Attic (1975) and Rocks (1976), with "Dream On," "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way."
  • The comeback: a 1986 remake of "Walk This Way" with Run-DMC, then Permanent Vacation (1987), Pump (1989) and Get a Grip (1993).
  • The first No. 1: "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" from the 1998 Armageddon soundtrack.
  • Later releases: Music from Another Dimension! (2012), then One More Time, a collaborative EP with Yungblud released November 21, 2025, the band's first new music in about 13 years.

Aerosmith is the best-selling American hard rock band, with more than 150 million records sold worldwide. It entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 and was named MusiCares Person of the Year in 2020.

How the touring years ended

The final chapter of Aerosmith's road career moved quickly, and the dates matter for anyone holding old tickets or reading old listings.

  • Deuces Are Wild residency (2019 to 2022): a Las Vegas run at the Park Theater, announced in August 2018 and interrupted from 2020 to 2021 by the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2022 schedule also included a rescheduled show at Fenway Park in Boston.
  • Peace Out: The Farewell Tour (2023): announced May 1, 2023, as a 40-city North American arena tour with The Black Crowes opening. It opened September 2, 2023, in Philadelphia and played Pittsburgh before Tyler injured his vocal cords at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on September 9. Only three shows were played.
  • The reschedule that never happened: in April 2024 the band announced 39 new dates starting September 20, 2024. On August 2, 2024, it canceled them and retired from touring.

Since then, band members have appeared on stage only in special settings. Tyler sang at his Jam for Janie benefit at the Hollywood Palladium on February 2, 2025, with Tom Hamilton among the guests, and Tyler and Perry performed together at a private benefit in San Francisco on April 30, 2025.

What the band says about future shows

The band's own comments point to a single show, not a tour. In August 2025, Joe Perry said he "would bet that there's an Aerosmith show left" while adding that Tyler does not want to tour. In an April 2026 interview with Billboard, Perry described the band as "still kind of definitely not in touring mode, but there are certainly other options," and said Tyler had only recently grown comfortable singing again.

For a fan, the practical reading is simple. If Aerosmith announces a show, expect it to be a single high-profile date rather than a run of shows, and expect demand far beyond what a normal tour stop would see because there may be no second chance.

Where to sit if a one-off show is announced

No Aerosmith stage design has been announced since the retirement, so the guidance here is general to a classic hard rock show in an arena or stadium.

  • Lower-level sideline sections: the best balance of sightline and sound in an arena. You see Tyler and Perry working the front of the stage without standing on a flat floor.
  • Floor: closest to the band, but a flat surface. Unless you are near the front, the crowd and phones in front of you will block much of the view.
  • Upper level facing the stage: the value choice for a show built on songs everyone knows; the screens carry the detail.
  • Side-stage and behind-stage seats: avoid them unless the listing explains the view, since speaker stacks and stage structures often block part of the stage.

Buying carefully when no tour exists

With no tour on sale, the most common Aerosmith listings are tribute bands, solo projects such as the Joe Perry Project, and events that use the band's songs. None of those is an Aerosmith concert. Read the event name and the performer line closely, and check the date against the band's official tour page.

If a real Aerosmith date is announced, expect the first sale to be the most competitive moment, with artist and card-issuer presales ahead of the general sale. Resale prices for a once-only event usually stay high until close to the show. Every GoodSeats order is backed by a 100% guarantee, and the live event list on this page shows what is actually on sale.
