Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

The Braves in brief: three cities, four championships

The Atlanta Braves play home games at Truist Park in Cobb County, about 10 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta, from late March or early April through late September, with postseason games in October. The franchise began in 1871 as the Boston Red Stockings and is the oldest continuously operating professional sports franchise in North America. It moved to Milwaukee in 1953 and to Atlanta in 1966.

The Braves have won four World Series: 1914 in Boston, 1957 in Milwaukee, and 1995 and 2021 in Atlanta. No other MLB franchise has won the World Series in three different home cities.

  • Pennants: 18 National League pennants.
  • The streak: a record 14 consecutive division titles from 1991 to 2005, part of an NL-record 24 division titles.
  • Hank Aaron: his 715th home run, which broke Babe Ruth's career record, came in Atlanta on April 8, 1974.
  • Retired numbers: 11, including Aaron's 44, Chipper Jones's 10 and Greg Maddux's 31.
  • Rivals: the New York Mets rivalry sharpened after the 1994 realignment put both clubs in the NL East.

How Truist Park is laid out and where to sit

Truist Park played its first regular-season game on April 14, 2017, and Wikipedia lists its capacity at 41,108. Seating guides describe four main levels: the 100 level (Field), the 200 level (Terrace), the 300 level (Vista) and the 400 level (Grandstand), with premium clubs behind home plate.

The dugouts

Two independent seating guides place the Braves dugout on the first base side and the visitors on the third base side. Ballpark E-Guides puts the home dugout in front of roughly sections 16 to 21 and the visitors' dugout near sections 31 to 35. Confirm the section on your listing's map before paying extra to sit behind the home team.

Infield

Lower-level seats between the dugouts are the closest view of the pitcher and hitter, and they carry the highest resale demand. Rows 1 and 2 in some lower sections look through a plexiglass railing, so a few rows back is often a better seat than the very front.

Value picks

  • Terrace infield: SeatSecrets singles out sections 216 to 218 for a close, raised view near the dugout.
  • Vista infield: sections 325 to 327 show the whole diamond for less than the Terrace level.
  • Grandstand: the 400 level is the farthest from the field but is almost entirely under the roof canopy.

Seats to think twice about

  • Far right field: some sections lose part of the field view behind the Chop House fence.
  • Coca-Cola Corner: the left field upper corner sits about as far from home plate as possible and has no shade.

Beating the Georgia sun at Truist Park

A metal canopy covers about 60 percent of the seats, which makes Truist Park more forgiving than many open-air ballparks. Seat choice still matters for a day game in July or August.

  • The first base side gets shade earlier, which is one more reason the home-dugout side is popular for afternoon games.
  • The third base side stays in the sun longer, especially in the lower rows during day games.
  • Higher rows in the lower level, roughly row 10 and up, are typically under cover.
  • The 400 level is nearly all shaded, though the highest rows can lose part of the view of the main video board.

For a night game, sun is mostly a factor for the first few innings of a summer evening start, and the choice comes down to view and budget.

The MLB season and the Braves games that sell first

Each MLB team plays 162 regular-season games, 81 at home. Spring training runs in February and March at CoolToday Park in North Port, Florida. The regular season starts in late March or early April and ends in late September, with the All-Star break in mid-July. Twelve teams reach the postseason, which can run into early November.

Since 2023 MLB has used a balanced schedule: every team plays every other team, and the Braves meet each NL East rival 13 times.

  • NL East rivals: the Mets, Phillies, Marlins and Nationals fill the most dates. Mets and Phillies weekends tend to draw the most demand.
  • Opening week and holidays: the home opener, Memorial Day weekend and the Fourth of July sell earlier than a midweek game.
  • Giveaway and promotion nights: gates can open earlier, and demand rises.
  • Weekends: Friday and Saturday nights are the hardest regular-season tickets; Monday to Wednesday games are the easiest.
  • October: postseason demand at Truist Park is far above anything in the regular season.

Getting to Truist Park and gate rules

Truist Park sits at 755 Battery Avenue SE in the Cumberland area of Cobb County. Unlike Atlanta's downtown venues, it has no rail station. The team's guest guide lists these options:

  • MARTA: take Bus 12 from Midtown Station toward Cumberland Mall, then the Cumberland Circulator shuttle to The Battery.
  • CobbLinc: Route 10 stops about 0.4 miles from the ballpark but does not run on Sundays.
  • Parking: the team recommends buying parking ahead at braves.com/parking; day-of lots take cards only.

As of the 2026 season, the Braves list these entry rules. Check the Truist Park guest guide before you go.

  • Bags: bags are prohibited, except medical and diaper bags, ADA-required bags, and small single-compartment clutches or clear bags no larger than 5 by 9 inches. A paid locker service is available.
  • Food and water: food in a clear, gallon-size plastic bag and one sealed plastic water bottle per ticket.
  • Gates: open two hours before first pitch, or 80 minutes for weekday day games.
  • Re-entry: not allowed on the same ticket.

GoodSeats orders include guaranteed entry, so your tickets will work at the gate.

The Battery and gameday culture

The ballpark was built as the centerpiece of The Battery Atlanta, a mixed-use district of restaurants, shops, offices and apartments. Most fans eat and drink there before the gates open, so pregame looks more like a neighborhood night out than a parking-lot tailgate. Inside, the Monument Garden holds a statue of Hank Aaron and a large art installation on franchise history.

The tomahawk chop, a chant and arm motion popularized in 1991, remains part of the crowd's game routine, though Native American groups have criticized it for years.

A ballpark history in brief

The ballpark opened as SunTrust Park and became Truist Park in January 2020 after the bank merger. The Braves beat the Padres 5 to 2 in the first regular-season game there. It hosted Games 3 through 5 of the 2021 World Series, which ended with Atlanta's fourth title, and the MLB All-Star Game on July 15, 2025.

  • 1871 to 1952: Boston, including the 1914 title.
  • 1953 to 1965: Milwaukee, including the 1957 title.
  • 1966 to present: Atlanta, with titles in 1995 and 2021.
  • 2017: the move from Turner Field to Cobb County.
