Two championships fifty years apart, a downtown arena built for noise and a plaza outside that fills up on big nights: here is how to plan a Bucks game.

Upcoming Milwaukee Bucks dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

A small-market club with two championships

The Milwaukee Bucks play their home games at Fiserv Forum in downtown Milwaukee, with a regular season that runs from late October to mid-April and playoffs that can stretch into June. They compete in the Central Division of the NBA's Eastern Conference alongside the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers.

The franchise joined the league as an expansion team in 1968 and won only 26 games in its first season. Its fortunes turned almost immediately. A coin flip brought Lew Alcindor, later Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, to Milwaukee, and the 1970 trade for Oscar Robertson produced one of the fastest rises in league history: a 66–16 record and a four-game Finals sweep of the Baltimore Bullets in 1971, only the club's third season.

The second title took fifty years. Led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks came back from a 2–0 series deficit to beat the Phoenix Suns in the 2021 Finals, with Antetokounmpo named Finals MVP after averaging 35.2 points and 13.2 rebounds. The club added the 2024 NBA Cup, the league's in-season tournament, beating the Oklahoma City Thunder in the final. In June 2026 the Bucks traded Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat, closing a 13-year era; check the team's site for the current roster before you buy.

Fiserv Forum and how the bowl is arranged

Fiserv Forum opened on August 26, 2018, at 1111 Vel R. Phillips Avenue, replacing the Bradley Center, the team's home from 1988 to 2018. It seats 17,385 for basketball, one of the more compact capacities in the league, and it was designed by Populous and HNTB with Milwaukee-based Eppstein Uhen Architects. Marquette University's men's basketball team shares the building, and it hosted the 2024 Republican National Convention.

For a Bucks game, the seating reads as two main tiers:

  • The 100 level (the lower bowl, sections numbered in the 100s), which wraps the court and includes courtside rows on the floor.
  • The 200 level (the upper bowl, sections numbered in the 200s), where most of the lower-cost seats sit.
  • Premium spaces, including the BMO Club, Tower Suites on the 200 level, Lofts on the suite level and the Panorama Club, a lounge and bar near the top of the building.

Seating guides place the Bucks bench in front of section 118 and the visitors' bench in front of section 116, so sections 116 through 118 form the bench sideline, with section 106 at center court on the opposite side. Confirm the layout on the seat map for your specific game, since floor configurations can change.

Where to sit for a Bucks game

Courtside and the sideline 100s

Courtside seats put you level with the players and are priced as a luxury product. For most buyers the stronger seat is a center-court 100-level section such as 106 or 117, roughly rows 5 to 15. That height clears the benches, the scorer's table and the photographers along the baseline while keeping you close enough to hear the game.

Behind the baskets

Baseline 100-level sections cost less than the sidelines for a reason. From the low rows you look through the stanchion and glass, and judging depth on the far end of the court is hard. They suit a fan who wants to be close to one basket for warmups or free throws, not a fan who wants to follow every possession.

The 200 level

The upper bowl is where value lives. The first several rows of the sideline 200s, such as sections 207 to 209 and 221 to 223 above center court, show spacing, screens and fast breaks developing in a way the low baseline rows never will. The top rows of the corner and end sections are the weakest seats in the building: a long climb and a flattened view of the far basket.

Accessible seating

Seating guides note accessible rows at the top of most sections around the bowl, which keeps wheelchair locations spread across price points rather than grouped in one area.

The schedule and which games sell first

The NBA calendar follows a consistent shape. A short preseason runs in early October, the 82-game regular season (41 home games) runs from late October to mid-April, the play-in tournament follows, and the playoffs run from mid-April into June. NBA Cup group games are played in November and December and count in the regular-season standings.

Demand for Bucks tickets tends to follow a few patterns:

  • Division and regional rivals. The Chicago Bulls are about 90 miles down Interstate 94, and their fans travel well to Milwaukee. The Indiana Pacers carry recent playoff history after eliminating the Bucks in the 2024 first round.
  • Star opponents and former players. Games against teams with marquee players, and the first return of a long-tenured former Buck, pull in casual fans and push resale prices up.
  • Weekend and holiday dates. Friday and Saturday night games, and the stretch around the winter holidays, sell faster than midweek games against nonconference opponents.
  • The playoffs. Postseason tickets are priced by the round and the opponent, and they move quickly once a series is set.

Midweek games in January and February against Western Conference teams with losing records are usually the most affordable way into the building. Every GoodSeats order is backed by a 100% guarantee.

Gameday in the Deer District

Fiserv Forum is the centerpiece of the Deer District, a 30-acre development of restaurants, bars, retail and apartments built around the arena. The outdoor plaza became a national image during the 2021 Finals, when large crowds gathered to watch road games on big screens, and it remains the default pregame meeting spot. Old World Third Street and the Water Street bars are also a short walk away.

Getting there is straightforward. MCTS buses and The Hop, Milwaukee's downtown streetcar, both serve the arena area. Drivers can use the 5th Street Parking Structure or the Highland Structure, both first-come, first-served as of fall 2026, with electric-vehicle chargers in the 5th Street structure and free bicycle parking. Out-of-town fans from Chicago often take the train to Milwaukee's downtown intermodal station rather than drive.

As of fall 2026, the arena's posted rules include the following. Check the Fiserv Forum A–Z guide before you go, because these policies change.

  • Bags: clear bags under 14 by 14 by 6 inches and small non-clear bags under 10 by 6 by 2 inches are allowed; larger non-clear bags up to 14 by 14 by 6 inches go through x-ray. Backpacks are not allowed.
  • Tickets: mobile only, through the Bucks app or Ticketmaster app; screenshots are not accepted.
  • Payments: the building is cashless, with cash-to-card machines at the Ticket Office, the Bucks Pro Shop and sections 104, 119 and 219.
  • Re-entry: once your ticket is scanned, leaving ends your night.

From the Arena to the Bradley Center to the Forum

The Bucks spent their first twenty seasons in the Milwaukee Arena (now the UW–Milwaukee Panther Arena) before moving to the Bradley Center in 1988. Abdul-Jabbar averaged 30.4 points and 15.3 rebounds across six seasons in Milwaukee, and the team returned to the Finals in 1974 before losing to the Boston Celtics. The 1980s teams built around Sidney Moncrief and Marques Johnson were perennial contenders, and Ray Allen led a run to the 2001 Eastern Conference Finals.

Nine numbers hang in the rafters, including 1 for Robertson, 4 for Moncrief, 8 for Johnson, 16 for Bob Lanier and 33 for Abdul-Jabbar. Longtime owner Herb Kohl sold the team in 2014 to a group led by Wes Edens and Marc Lasry, and the ownership group that followed built Fiserv Forum, which opened in 2018 and hosted the clinching game of the 2021 Finals. Team history and current news are on the Bucks' official site.
