Upcoming Milwaukee Brewers dates

Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.

The Brewers in brief: from the Seattle Pilots to the NL Central

The Milwaukee Brewers play home games at American Family Field, a retractable-roof ballpark in Milwaukee, and the regular season runs from late March through September. The club began in 1969 as the Seattle Pilots and moved to Milwaukee after one season. It played in the American League through 1997 and switched to the National League Central (the division that also holds the Cubs, Cardinals, Reds and Pirates) in 1998.

The high point so far is 1982: an American League pennant under manager Harvey Kuenn, with Robin Yount the league MVP, and a seven-game World Series loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. The Brewers have not won a World Series. They have become a regular postseason team, though, with NL Central titles in 2011, 2018, 2021, 2023, 2024 and 2025, and a 97-win 2025 season that was the best record in club history.

  • Main rival: the Chicago Cubs, 83 miles down Interstate 94.
  • Franchise icon: Robin Yount, the only Hall of Famer to spend his entire career in Milwaukee.
  • MVPs since: Ryan Braun (2011) and Christian Yelich (2018).

American Family Field: the roof and the seating tiers

American Family Field opened on April 6, 2001, at 1 Brewers Way, and seats about 41,900. Its fan-shaped convertible roof, the only one of its kind in North America, opens or closes in about 10 minutes, so cold April nights and summer storms rarely stop a game. The park was called Miller Park through 2020 and took its current name in 2021. In late 2023 Wisconsin approved public funding for repairs and improvements, with the team committed to stay through 2050.

Seating guides group the bowl like this:

  • Field Level (100s): sections roughly 101 to 131 around the infield, plus outfield bleachers.
  • Loge Level (200s): the second deck, roughly sections 201 to 238.
  • Club Level (300s): premium seats with club access.
  • Terrace Level (400s): the upper deck, roughly sections 404 to 442.

A center field video board of more than 12,000 square feet debuted in 2024.

Where to sit for a Brewers game

Dugouts

Seating guides place the Brewers dugout in front of sections 112 to 114, on the first-base side, and the visitors in front of sections 121 to 123. Netting or screening runs in front of sections 112 through 123, so the front rows behind the plate and dugouts watch through it.

Best overall

The infield Loge sections, roughly 214 to 220, are among the highest-rated seats in the building: a raised, centered view of the diamond without the climb to the upper deck. Field Level sections between the dugouts are the closest view of the pitcher and hitter.

Best value

The Terrace Level infield is the budget choice for a centered view. One caution: the Uecker Seats high in the Terrace behind home plate are the cheapest tickets in the park for a reason; the roof's pivot blocks part of the view.

Sun and shade

With the roof closed, sun is a non-issue. With it open on a summer afternoon, much of the seating still sits in shade under the roof structure, but low Field Level and bleacher seats can be in direct sun. If heat or rain worries you, check the team's roof status page on game day.

Outfield

Bernie Brewer celebrates home runs by sliding from his chalet above left field, and seats nearby give kids a clear view of it. The outfield bleachers are a loud, inexpensive way to see a game but a long way from the strike zone.

Schedule shape and the dates that draw the biggest crowds

Spring training runs in February and March at American Family Fields of Phoenix in Arizona, in the Cactus League. The 81-game home schedule opens in late March and closes in late September; the postseason follows in October for teams that qualify.

The resale market follows a familiar pattern in Milwaukee:

  • Cubs series. The I-94 rivalry became a division rivalry in 1998, and Chicago fans make the short drive in large numbers. So many came that the Brewers ran a Take Back Miller Park campaign in 2006. Weekend Cubs games are usually the toughest ticket of the regular season.
  • Opening Day, preceded by the Arctic Tailgate, in which fans camp out for tickets.
  • Summer Saturday games and giveaway dates, and Cardinals series late in a pennant race.
  • Postseason home games.

For the widest choice, look at weeknight games in April, May and September against teams outside the division.

Tailgating, parking and getting in

Tailgating is the center of a Brewers gameday, and the team publishes specific rules for it. As of the current guidelines:

  • Lot hours: lots open three hours before game time, or 2.5 hours for weekday games starting at 6:15 or 6:40 p.m. Early entry for tailgating is not allowed.
  • Grills: gas or propane units with fuel shutoffs and self-contained charcoal units only. Dump charcoal in the coal bins at the base of the light poles.
  • Spaces: one vehicle per paid space, and spaces cannot be saved. Groups who want to park together must arrive together.
  • End time: tailgating ends 30 minutes after first pitch, when everyone must go into the ballpark or leave. Lots close within an hour after the game.
  • No glass and no underage drinking.

The main lots include the Uecker, Yount, American Family and Brewers 1 lots, with tailgate grids in Uecker and Yount. A Bublr Bikes station serves the ballpark. See the team's tailgating rules before you go.

Bags, gates and outside food, as of 2026

As of the 2026 season, American Family Field allows a clear single-compartment bag of up to 12 by 12 by 6 inches, a one-gallon clear resealable bag, or a non-clear bag no larger than 9 by 5 by 2 inches. Diaper bags up to 16 by 16 by 8 inches and medically necessary items are exceptions.

  • Gates: open 90 minutes before first pitch, or two hours before on Saturdays and Opening Day.
  • Outside food: personal-size items such as a sandwich or a piece of fruit.
  • Drinks: one sealed plastic non-alcoholic bottle of 32 ounces or less per person.
  • Payment and re-entry: concessions and retail are cashless, with cash-to-card kiosks, and there is no re-entry.

From County Stadium to the sausage race

The Brewers played at Milwaukee County Stadium from 1970 through 2000. Their new ballpark was supposed to open in 2000, but on July 14, 1999, a construction crane known as Big Blue collapsed, killing three workers and pushing the opening to 2001.

  • 1971 to 2024: Bob Uecker called Brewers games for 54 seasons, and the team's cheap upper-deck seats carry his name.
  • 1982: the pennant and the club's only World Series trip.
  • 2002: the ballpark hosted the All-Star Game.
  • 2018: the Brewers beat the Cubs 3–1 in a Game 163 tiebreaker to win the NL Central.

The Racing Sausages run in the sixth inning of every home game, a tradition visitors should not miss, and Bernie Brewer's slide is the other gameday ritual worth sitting near.
