Dates and live ticket listings appear here as soon as they are on sale. The guide below covers what to know before you buy.
Nine titles, two cities: the Dodgers franchise
The Los Angeles Dodgers play home games at Dodger Stadium in the Elysian Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, and the regular season runs from late March through September. The franchise began in Brooklyn in 1883; the name comes from the 1890s trolley lines Brooklyn residents had to dodge on the way to the ballpark. Walter O'Malley moved the club west before the 1958 season.
The Dodgers have won nine World Series: 1955 (the only title in Brooklyn), 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, 1988, 2020, 2024 and 2025. The back-to-back titles in 2024 and 2025 made them the first repeat champion since the Yankees of 1998 to 2000. Their 26 National League pennants are a league record.
- Division: the NL West, alongside the Giants, Padres, Diamondbacks and Rockies.
- Main rival: the San Francisco Giants, a rivalry that dates to 1890 in New York.
- Crosstown rival: the Los Angeles Angels, in the Freeway Series.
The club also carries a civic history larger than its trophy case: Jackie Robinson broke the major leagues' color line with Brooklyn on April 15, 1947.
Dodger Stadium at a glance for a Dodgers game
Dodger Stadium opened on April 10, 1962, and seats 56,000, the largest capacity in Major League Baseball. It is the oldest ballpark west of the Mississippi and the third-oldest in the majors after Fenway Park and Wrigley Field. The address is 1000 Vin Scully Avenue, renamed in 2016 for the broadcaster who called Dodgers games from 1950 through 2016. Since 2026 the playing surface carries a sponsor name, UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium, while the stadium keeps its name.
The seating tiers, from the field up:
- Field Level: foul pole to foul pole, with the Dugout Club seats directly behind home plate.
- Loge Level: the first deck above the field.
- Club (Suite) Level: the premium tier.
- Reserve Level: the upper-middle deck with long infield sightlines.
- Top Deck: the highest tier, and the lowest-priced infield seats.
- Left and Right Field Pavilions: the outfield bleachers under the wavy roofs.
The stadium is cut into a hillside with terraced parking, so many lots sit at roughly the height of the deck they serve. Matching your lot to your seat level saves a long climb. For a section-by-section breakdown, see the Dodger Stadium seating chart page.
Picking seats for a Dodgers home game
Sun and shade
Home plate faces north-northeast. The third-base side falls into shade first as the sun moves west, and when it is still sunny there, the sun is behind you. The first-base side and right field stay sunny longest, and right field can catch glare near sunset. The back six or seven rows of each Loge section sit under the deck above, and the back rows of the Reserve Level behind home plate are covered too. For a day game, those covered rows and the third-base side are worth paying for.
Best overall and best value
Infield Loge seats between the bases are the best balance of angle and distance: high enough to read defensive positioning, low enough to see the break on a pitch. Infield Reserve sections are the next step down in cost with a similar look. Top Deck infield seats are high, but the view of the field, Elysian Park and the San Gabriel Mountains beyond is part of the experience.
The Pavilions
The outfield Pavilions suit fans who want a loud crowd and a chance at a home run ball. They sit far from the infield and in full sun at day games, so they are a poor choice for a first-time visitor who wants to follow the game closely.
Seats to reconsider
Field Level seats far down the lines angle toward the outfield, so you spend the game turned toward the plate. Dugout locations are listed inconsistently across seating guides, so if sitting behind the home dugout matters to you, confirm it on the team's seat map for your date.
When Dodgers tickets are hardest to find
The Dodgers drew 4,012,470 fans in 2025, the most in franchise history, so even ordinary dates sell well. Spring training runs in February and March at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona, which the Dodgers share with the Chicago White Sox. The 81-game home schedule runs from late March to late September, with the postseason in October for qualifying teams.
Resale demand concentrates on a few kinds of dates:
- Giants series, especially on weekends and late in the season.
- The Freeway Series against the Angels, played four or six times a year across the two ballparks.
- Opening Day, fireworks nights, bobblehead and jersey giveaways, and holiday weekends.
- Postseason games, which reprice sharply once a series is set.
For the widest choice, look at Monday through Thursday games in April, May and early September. A Top Deck or Reserve seat on a Tuesday is usually the easiest way into the building.
The Dodger Stadium Express, parking and gate times
Chavez Ravine is a hilltop, and the roads in and out are the main gameday headache. Plan around them:
- Dodger Stadium Express: a free bus with a game ticket. The Union Station route runs about every 10 minutes starting 2.5 hours before first pitch, uses a dedicated lane on Sunset Boulevard and runs until 45 minutes after the final out. A South Bay route runs about every 30 minutes from the Harbor Gateway Transit Center with stops along the Harbor Freeway. Both drop riders at the center field gates.
- Parking: as of 2026, lots are cashless, advance purchase costs less than paying at the gate, and preferred parking is sold in advance only. Prepaid sales close about three hours before first pitch.
- Timing: parking gates open about 2.5 hours before first pitch and stadium gates about 2 hours before.
Details change by season. Check the team's Dodger Stadium Express page before you go.

Dodgers history worth knowing before first pitch
The Dodgers played four seasons at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum (1958 to 1961) while Dodger Stadium was built, and won the 1959 World Series there. The stadium's construction displaced the residents of Chavez Ravine, a history the city still debates.
- 1951: the Giants overcame a 13½-game deficit and won the pennant on Bobby Thomson's home run, the Shot Heard 'Round the World.
- 1981: Fernando Valenzuela won the Cy Young Award and Rookie of the Year in the same season, the peak of Fernandomania, and the Dodgers won the World Series.
- 1988: Kirk Gibson, barely able to walk, hit a pinch-hit home run to win Game 1 of the World Series.
- 2021: after 131 years, the Dodgers and Giants met in the postseason for the first time; the Dodgers won the NLDS three games to two.
Guggenheim Baseball Management bought the club in 2012. Dodger Stadium has hosted the World Series 12 times and the All-Star Game in 1980 and 2022, and it is slated to host baseball at the 2028 Olympics.
